Peyton Manning completed 24-of-30 passes for 309
yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in Denver's 35-24, Week 6
win over the Chargers.
Denver's offense
couldn't get on the field in the first half after the Broncos' special
teams muffed an early punt and a kick away to San Diego, but it was a
whole different story in the final 30 minutes. Peyton completed 13
straight passes to start the second half and threw all three scores in
that span. Eric Decker and Brandon Stokley were his favorite targets on
the night. Manning's pick-six came on a miscommunication with Matthew
Willis in the second quarter, but aside from that, he was flawless. The
Broncos head into their bye week at 3-3 and in first place in the AFC
West. New Orleans will travel to Denver in Week 8. Although Manning has
lost a bit off his fastball, he's playing at as high a level as he has
since his last few years with Indianapolis. He looks incredibly sharp. Oct 16 - 12:03 AM
